SRINAGAR, Oct 10: President of Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust (JKDT), Advocate Ajay Gandotra visited Srinagar on a four-day tour during which he took stock of the facilities in temples.
Gandotra expressed satisfaction at the facilities and arrangements at temples managed by the Trust in the Valley. He said that the Trust is taking due and proper case of the Samadhis of Late Maharajas of Jammu and Kashmir namely Maharaja Gulab Singh and Maharaja Partap Singh. He was on a visit to Srinagar on a special assignment of the Trust.
Accompanied by the Additional Secretary of Dharmarth Trust Kashmir Sandeep Khushoo, the JKDT president visited the Shankaracharya and Gadhadhar Temples in the heart of Srinagar City and took stock of the facilities being provided to the visiting devotees on first day of his tour. He also met the Trustees of Dharmarth Trust at Karan Mahal and briefed them about the functioning of the temples and shrines falling under the realms of the Trust.
On 2nd day, he visited Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla and Shiv Temple at the famous health resort Gulmarg where he reviewed the arrangements and facilities made for the visiting devotees especially during the peak tourist season. He suggested to the management of the temple to further enhance the facilities available at the aforesaid temples.
Today on the concluding day of his four-day tour, the Dharmarth Trust president visited the Shiv Temple at Pahalgam and also reviewed the facilities available there. While expressing satisfaction over the arrangements and facilities in all the temples visited by him, Gandotra said that the J&K Dharmarth Trust is duty bound to provide the best facilities to the devotees making their sojourn to these temples an unforgettable lifetime spiritual experience.
