JAMMU, Oct 11: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chowki Choura Virender Gupta today visited Rameen Makhian and Majoor villages and solved the issue of construction of two link roads.
During the tour, the SDM was accompanied by Dr Raman Jandyal (Tehsildar Chowki Choura) and other Revenue officials. The SDM firstly visited Ward Number 7 of Village Rameen Makhian, falling under Kanehri Panchayat to resolve a long pending issue of construction of a linkroad for the inhabitants of village Kadooma.
During visit to the area, BDC Chairman Rahul Sharma and PRI Members told the SDM that the work for construction of a link road was kept under 14-FC Scheme of Rural Development Department and if the work remains halted (due to encroachments) the funds will lapse.
On the request of public representatives, the Revenue team led by the demarcated the piece of land and removed all obstructions as well as encroachments, with the help of JCB, made on the State Land , thereby making the road through to be used by the public.
Thereafter, the SDM and his entire Team proceeded to village Majoor to resolve the issue of construction of a link road being constructed by the Public Works Department (PWD) as the matter for alignment of the road was sub-judice (being passing through a private land).
A due cognizance was taken, whereby proper demarcation of the area was carried out directions were passed to modify the earlier alignment/take off point, vis-a-vis construction of the link road through the adjacent ‘Kah-Charai/State Land’. The AEE PWD & his team surveyed the newly demarcated piece of land. The SDM directed the accompanying PWD Officials to prepare a detailed drawing/DPR of new alignments as early as possible so as to provide the road connectivity without further delay.
Later, the SDM oversee construction of its boundary wall of PHC Dispensary, Ghaar and way back, a reviewed progress of Sunghal-Bhambla Tunnel work.
