JAMMU, Oct 11: A Football competition was inaugurated by Group Centre CRPF Jammu for teams of operational battalions deployed in Jammu region and Group Centre Jammu and Group Centre Hiranagar, here today.
The competition was inaugurated by Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG, GC CRPF Jammu as chief guest in presence of Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant Group Centre Jammu, Sumit Verma, Deputy Commandant and other Gazetted officers and jawans.
The ongoing Football competition is being organized in accordance with the instructions issued by the Directorate General of CRPF, New Delhi and IG CRPF Jammu Sector. The main objective of this competition is to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship in the minds of CRPF personnel.
In order to maintain the true spirit and discipline of the game during this competition, the players of all the teams were also administered the oath.
Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant Group Centre Jammu, Sumit Verma, Deputy Commandant, Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Commandant, Rajesh Kumar, Asst. Comdt., Rajesh Kumar (Ass.Com/Ministerial), Umesh Chandra, Asstt. Comdt. (Ministerial), Jaswinder Singh (Asstt. Comdt/Ministerial) and other Gazetted officers, subordinate were present during the opening ceremony.
