JAMMU, Oct 16: Football competition, organised by CRPF GC Jammu for 16 teams of Operational Battalion/ADM GCs under Jammu Sectors, concluded here today.
Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG GC CRPF Jammu was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant, Sumit Verma (Dy. Comdt), Ajay Sharma, Asstt. Commandant and other gazetted officers were also present.
The main objective of the competition was to maintain sports spirit and awareness towards sports. The chief guest honoured the winner and runner-up teams with the trophies.
GC CRPF Jammu emerged as winner of the competition, while 137 Bn CRPF stood runner-up.
The competition was organized under the leadership of Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG, in which PC Gupta, Commandant, Sumit Verma (Dy. Comdt) Rajesh Kumar Dy Comdt, Rajesh Kumar, Asstt. Comdt. (M), Umesh Chandra, Asstt. Comdt. (M), Jaswinder Singh Asstt. Comdt.(M) and Subordinate Officers and Jawans also contributed to make the event successful.
