JAMMU, Oct 8: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Chaffrechak area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachack police station.
As per reports, 21-year-old Lakhan Singh, son of Chain Singh of Chaffrechak, Kanachak allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence.
Finding him hanged, family members informed the police and shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
A case has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
