POONCH, Oct 10: Urvashi scored back to back 3 goals to help Stadium Blues defeat Stadium Reds by three goals to two (3-2) in the sub junior category of Poonch District Women Hockey Championship, which got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
For Blues, it was Urvashi who pelted all three goals in 29th, 41st and 67th minutes of the match, while Mridhu and Afsana scored goals for Reds in 5th and 48th minute respectively.
Nirdosh Kumar, Manager Sports Stadium, Poonch was the chief guest on the inaugural function, while Narjeet Singh and Tanvir Ahmed Dar were present on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Sohail Azeem, Talvinder Pal Singh, Ravinder Singh and Mukesh Kumar, NIS hockey coach.
The Tournament is being organized by Hockey Poonch, under the aegis of Hockey J&K and under the supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, SAI hockey coach and vice president Hockey J&K.
