BJP team visits Baramulla, interacts with employees, officers

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: The BJP team constituted to look into the problems of package, reserved category employees and minorities living in the Kashmir Valley on their second day today met with the Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Sehrish Asgar and discussed the issues of package employees in detail with her.
The team led by former Deputy CM and senior BJP leader, Dr Nirmal Singh also visited the under construction quarters at Khwaja Bagh Baramulla and interacted with staff there. They were also accompanied by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, K K Sidha who informed them that the quarters will be ready by December this year.
The team also visited the Veerwan migrant colony in Baramulla and interacted with the camp inmates there who apprised them of their security concerns.
The team informed the camp inmates that the issue has been taken up by them with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and other officers yesterday and they will also take up the issue with Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and other higher ups as party is also concerned about the security and welfare of minorities living in the Valley.
The team reiterated its appeal to Government to take a lenient view on the package and reserved category employees as they feel scared in view of the targeted killings. They also demanded release of salaries of package employees as some departments have withheld the same.
Later the team visited the Nagdandi Ashram in Anantnag district and interacted with Ashram inmates there.
Besides, Dr Nirmal Singh the other members of the team included Ajay Bharti, ex MLC and spokesperson BJP, Hira Lal Bhat senior leader of the party and Chand Ji Bhat president Kashmir Displaced District BJP.
