JAMMU, Oct 28: Akhil Bharatiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir Zone, has urged the UT Government to recommend name of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan to the Central Government for grant of Bharat Rattan award.
The Sabha also demanded adding of a chapter of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan in the curriculum of primary classes so that the future leaders follow their local heroes.
It demanded institution of UT level award on the name of Hans Raj Mahajan in the field of social work.
“Every school must have a picture of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan to pay tribute to him on his birthday,” the Sabha demanded.
The Sabha recalled yeoman’s services rendered by Lala Hans Raj Mahajan to the society including for women empowerment, their education, cow protection, eradication of evils etc.
