JAMMU, Oct 29: On the occasion of Gopalashtami, which falls this year on November 1, a special function will be organized by Jammu and Kashmir Gau Raksha Samiti, Ambphalla.
While addressing a press conference, here today, Raj Kumar Gupta shared information about Gopalashtami function and that the event would be celebrated in the traditional way.
“The program will begin with Goupujan at 9 am to 9:30 am, which shall be followed by Havan up to 11:00 am, Satsang from 12 noon to 12:30 PM, seminar and felicitation ceremony from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm and Bhandara from 2 PM onwards,’ he informed.
Raj Kumar Gupta said that on the day of Gopalashtami, Lord Krishna’s father Nand Maharaj had entrusted him the responsibility of serving the mother cow and since then this day is celebrated as Gopalashtami.
On behalf of Jammu and Kashmir Gau Raksha Samiti, Ambphalla, Raj Kumar Gupta appealed all people of the UT to participate in the programmes on this occasion and seek blessings of mother cow.
