JAMMU, Oct 29: Jammu District Open Kho-Kho Championship for men and women, organised by District Association was inaugurated at Green Field Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The championship was declared open by president J&K Kho-Kho Association, Manmeet Singh in presence of SBS Tirthi, former treasurer KKFI and senior vice president, Harjeet Singh, general secretary, Anil Sharma( Manager), Ajay Gupta (Chief Coach) Dheeraj Sharma (Coach) and Pankaj Malhotra. He also appreciated the players and the organisers for the successful opening of the championship.
The matches were officiated by Amrinder Pal Singh, Jagdev, Sahil Dev and Sandeep Sharma.
In the men’s section, NIS Junior defeated Jammu Sanskriti School by 7 points (10-3), SAI won by innings and 7 points from Parivartan-B and NIS won by innings and 10 points.
In women, the PG department of JU won by 11 points and innings against point Parivartan-B and NIS won by 1 point Parivartan-A.
