Jammu, Oct 11: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum called on Director School Education Jammu, Tushar Kanti Sharma and discussed with him the problems pertaining to School Education Department.
The deputation, led by the Forum general secretary Ganesh Khajuria highlighted the issues, such as suitable adjustment of Masters who have served in the remote areas of Reasi for three years after their promotion in 2010. These Masters are presently attached in the office of CEO Jammu awaiting their adjustment, the deputation explained.
Similarly, the Masters from Jammu who were posted in Doda, Kishtwar and other districts on promotion in 2011 and have completed their tenure, also need to be repatriated, the Forum demanded.
The deputation also demanded release of the promotion list of drop-out Masters, stoppage of political interference in Education Department, regularization of EVs as teachers who have completed 7 years in service, framing of transfer policy for ReT teachers, promotion of all PG Masters, Teachers of different streams through DPC on regular basis, timely release of salary grants to schools on half yearly basis as in other departments, filling up of vacant posts of teachers, Lab Assistants, restarting of Senior Teacher Grade and release of salary grants under SSA.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured early redressal of the demands.
