UDHAMPUR, Nov 1: The quarter final and semi-final matches were played on Day 2 of the ongoing ‘District Table Tennis Championship, here today.
The open Table Tennis Championship was organised under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the initiative of ‘My Youth My Pride’.
In women’s senior category, Gungun Sharma defeated Ishika Gogna by 3-0 sets and entered into the final, while Sonika Devi beat Palak Khajuria by 3-1 sets, and sailed into the finals.
In junior boys category, Madhav Sharma beat Ayush Gupta by 3-0 sets and Sourav Sharma trounced Archit Mahajan by 3-0 and reached into the finals of the category.
The final matches and prize distribution function will be held tomorrow. The matches were officiated by Ankit Sharma, Maninder Singh, Sahil Malgotra and Vipin Photra.
