JAMMU, Nov 3: Devraj Thakur, President of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation today expressed deep concern over no timely promotion to the teachers and said that this has an adverse impact on the pupils’ learning progress and outcomes.
He further added that establishment of incentive schemes and wages work as a means of stimulating workers to work hard to be committed and eventually to be satisfied with the motivation they get.
Thakur further said that the department having no definite policy with regard to the transfer of teachers was leading to unnecessary confusion every year. “Teachers form the largest group among the Government employees. However, the department has failed to implement a definite transfer policy in Jammu Kashmir,” he added.
AJKLTF leader appealed to the higher authority to take the appropriate actions and instructions for the Education Department to fulfill the long pending demands of teachers who are suffering due to no transparent transfer policy in J&K UT and lack of staff in schools especially in far-flung areas.
