Workshop on French language held

JAMMU, Nov 6: Delhi Public School Jammu (DPSJ) in collaboration with Langers International organized a day long French language workshop on the topic ‘Enseignement du Francais aux ecoliers et la gestion des grands groups’, here today.
The resource person was Neha Bansal, expert trainer of foreign languages at Alliance Francaise, Chandigarh. The program was attended by the participants from University of Jammu, GD Goenka Public School, Jammu Sanskriti School, Model Academy, Shemford Futuristic School, International Daily Rising School, Shaurya International School, IDPS, and DPS Jammu.
The workshop commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by an impressive group song presentation by the School choir.
In the first session of the workshop, curriculum structure of the French language and acquisition of conversational skills were discussed, while in the second session, the emphasis was laid on French pronunciation, phonetics, and idiomatic expressions.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra said that if teachers consistently go on educating themselves and remain open to implementing their new learnings, this re-affirms their capability of change and growth and also prepares them for better and newer opportunities in future.
Headmistress- Meenu Gupta, Headmaster- Ravi Kotroo, Dy Headmaster- Umesh Sharma, Dy Headmistress- Rimpi Sharma, School Coordinators- Mrignaini Pathania, Anuradha Malhotra, Anu Bali and Tehmina Akhter, along with Karishma Kapoor, Manager of Langers International were present during the event.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Preeti Sharma, while the whole event was conducted by Lokesh Kumar and Sania Mahajan, French Language Faculty of DPS Jammu. The workshop ended with the instrumental National Anthem.
