JAMMU, Nov 12: J&K’s promising left-arm spinner Ranjot Singh took a brilliant 5-wicket haul but could not stop Mumbai from scoring heavily on day-1 of the 4-day U-19 Boys Cooch Behar Trophy match at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Mumbai scored 318/6 in 90 overs.
Nutan top scored with 79 runs off 107 balls, studded with 12 delectable boundaries, while Manan Bhatt contributed 52 off 122 balls with 7 fours and one six. Angkridh Raghuvanshi (33) and Ayush Mhatre (26) were the other contributors.
Arjun Dani (42) and Umar Khan (40) were on the crease at the draw of stumps today.
For J&K, Ranjot Singh was the pick of the bowlers, who captured 5 wickets by conceding 87 runs in his 32 overs, while Aman Singh claimed one wicket by conceding 30 runs in his 13 overs.
