JAMMU, Nov 13: SCC defeated APCC by 39 runs in the final of KPL Veteran Cup-9, played at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
Batting first, SCC made 142 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Puneet Wattal was top scorer who made 42 runs, while Vikas Dhar made 36 runs and Provin Bhat scored 16 runs. From the bowling side, Sunny Bhan bagged 3 wickets, while Susheetal Dhar took 2 wickets.
In reply, APCC couldn’t chase the target and bundled out at 103 runs in 18.3 overs. Rocky Raina made 39 runs, while Bharat Bhat scored 25 runs. From the bowling side, Vikas Dhar was wrecker-in-chief with four scalps while Vikas Pandita and Rohit Ambardar took two wickets each.
Vikas Dhar from SCC was awarded with man of the match for his overall performance. The tournament was organised by Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Anil Ambardar and Sanjay Koul in association with KC Sports Club Jammu.
Dr T K Moza graced the event as chief guest.
