Handwara, Nov 18: Falak Fayaz, a 6-standard student of International Islamic School Handwara has won the gold medal at the International Karate Championship, organised by Shotokan Karate-Do Indian Association (SKIA) in Goa.
“The school is delighted with her success and extends heartfelt congratulations to her,” the faculty of IIS said.
Falak participated for the first time in the International Karate Championship and won the gold medal, bringing laurels to the school.
Chairman IIS Dr Tarique Raheem while welcoming the winner said that she has indeed become an inspiration for other girl students. He thanked her coach and teachers of IIS for guiding Falak to achieve this feat.
