JAMMU, Nov 18: Kashmiri Pandits in a meeting today urged the Government not to coerce PM package employees to join their services in Valley in view of the targeted killings of the minorities there.
The demand was made in a joint meeting of Durganagar Welfare Committees was held under the presidentship of Roshan Lal Raina and Sanjay Ganjoo today.
It strongly urged the Government that PM and non PM package employees should not be forced them to join their duties till normalcy prevails in Kashmir.
A fervent appeal was made to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to release their pending salaries as these employees are facing many hardships. More sufferers are their children as every now and then they have to leave the Valley due to targeted killings and their education has suffered a lot.
The new style of hybrid militancy is big challenge and KPs have to face the brunt and are becoming first victims of these nefarious designs of Pakistan sponsored militancy.
The meeting resolved that these employees will not join their duties till whole community is rehabilitated in the Valley.
The meeting appealed to Home Minister to constitute an Apex Committee of KPs headed by him and community should be taken into confidence for any dialog regarding the Kashmir as KPs are main stake holders on Kashmir.
It demanded enhancement of the cash assistance of relief holders which was earlier done in year 2018.
The members present in the meeting were Bihari Lal Raina, C.L.Zutshi, Badri Nath, G.L.Sawhney, B.B.Goswami, R L.Kaul, B.L.Kaul, Ramesh Pandit, Jawahirlal Raina, Naresh Pandit, M.K.Raina, Sunil Raina, Ravinder Bhan and D.N.Kaul.
