UDHAMPUR, Nov 19: Northern Army HQ today organised Udhampur T-20 Cricket League at Chinar Complex, here today.
Major Gen S S Patil, GOC 71 Sub Areas who was the chief guest on the occasion declared the tournament open.
The chief guest interacted with the players of the teams before the start of the inaugural match which was played between AF XI and Civ Adm XI.
The match was won by Civil Administration XI by defeating Air Force XI by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Air Force XI set the target of 134 runs in 20 overs on the loss of 8 wickets, while Civil Adm XI Udhampur chased the score in 15.2 overs.
The opening match of the league was witnessed by the chief guest for other military and civil officials.
From Team civil Adm XI, Sourab took 4 wickets, while Vikram Jamwal emerged as the highest scorer with 36 runs.From Air Force XI, flight Lt. Mahajan scored 64 (unbeaten) runs.
Rajesh Sharma and Parshotam Sharma of Department of Youth Services and Sports Udhampur acted as Umpires of the match.
The final match of the League is scheduled to be held on December 4, 2022 at Bikram Park, Chinar Complex in Army Cantt.
