JAMMU, Nov 21: Inter-collegiate Archery tournament in Men section, organised by University of Jammu’s Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, commenced at University Ground, here today.
The teams were introduced by Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu in presence of other dignitaries including Jai Bharat, Vikas Karlopia, Raj Kumar, PD Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Narinder Sharma, Sonu Kumari and Sanjeev Jamwal.
In individual 30 mtrs, Ashutosh Singh, Akshit Sharma, & Rahul Kumar from GDC Samba won top three medal respectively, while in team event 30 mtrs, team Ashutosh Singh, Akshit Sharma & Rahul Kumar from GDC Samba secured Gold medal, while team of Munish Kumar, Sandeep Kumar & Mukesh Kumar from GDC Basohli clinched Silver and team of Harsh Singh, Gursewak Singh, Kanveer Ragotra & Ajay Kumar from GDC Paloura bagged Bronze medal.
In compound 50 mtrs, Pankaj Kumar, GDC Kakryal Katra won Gold medal.
The matches were officiated by Jai Bharat, Darshana Sharma, Simi Kumari and PD Singh.
The overall trophy was won by GDC Samba by securing 25 points and runner-up trophy was clinched by GDC Basohli by securing 9 points.
