JAIPUR, Oct 17: A team of Gujarat Police here reached here for investigation and spot verification of certain revelations made by a close aide of self styled godman Asaram’s son Narain Sai who is an accused in a rape case lodged in Surat.
According to reports, cops from Surat have reached here along with Mohit a functionary of Narain Sai’s Jaipur based institute and was arrested by the police a few days ago.
The visiting police team today undertook search at Mohit’s residence in the premises of the institute in Kardhani here, also conducted physical verification of Mohit’s laptop from which the police got some vital clues about Narain Sai and his activities, the sources said.
Two sisters have lodged cases of rape in Surat against Sai and his father Asaram.
Preacher Asaram, who is already facing trial in a sexual assault case in Jodhpur, was taken to Gujarat on a transit remand in connection with the rape case. (UNI)
