Army organizes volleyball tourney at Gool

GOOL, Oct 17: The Volleyball Tournament conducted by the Rashtriya Rifles, based at Gool, under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) concluded at Higher Secondary School, here.
A total of 18 teams participated in the event and the team of village Thatharka emerged as the winner of the tournament.
The event saw an overwhelming response from the local populace and plenty of zeal, enthusiasm and vigor from the participants.
This 6-day long tournament was played on league-cum-knockout basis.
The final was played between the teams of Thatharka and Gool. Thatharka lifted the trophy by defeating Gool by (3-1) sets in a well contested match.
The participants were all praise for the Army for organizing such tournaments, which give them opportunity to showcase their talent and foster friendship with other colleagues.
