DODA, Nov 25; District Development Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today disbanded the services of three Gram Rozgar Sahayaks for dereliction of duty and long absence.
District Development Commissioner’s office received a written report from Assistant Commissioner Development Doda vide his letter No. ACDD/MGNREGA/SS/2022-23/19555-59 Dated 14/11/2022, wherein it was reported that the three Gram Rozgar Sahayaks were not performing their duties satisfactorily and they remained unauthorisedly absent from duty for a long time.
Assistant Commissioner Development Doda (Additional District Programme Co-ordinator, MGNREGA) had reported that the Block Development Officers concerned have recommended the termination of the three Gram Rozgar Sahayiks for dismal performance and long absence.
The terminated GRSs are Surjit Singh from Block Dali Udhyanpur, Varsha Kotwal from Thathri Block and Yasir Hussain from Bhaderwah Block.
It is important to mention here that a GRS is engaged under MGNREGA, for effective implementation of the scheme. It is a temporary engagement linked with the successful implementation of the MGNREGA in the panchayat and their temporary services can be discontinued without assigning any reason by the competent authority.
