RAMBAN, Dec 3: Police here today arrested a thief and recovered the stolen vehicle from him.
As per police report, a written complaint was filed by one Mohd. Imran on November 30, 2022 that on the intervening night of November 27-28, 2022 his Auto bearing Registration Number JK19/3382 parked outside his house was stolen.
A case in FIR No. 403/2022 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation was entrusted to ASI Mohd. Yousuf Rounyal.
On the direction of SHO Inspector Sandeep Charak, a police team from Police Station Ramban was deputed in the area that collected vital clues through technical as well as human intelligence and managed to arrest a suspect Gourav Singh son of Firangi resident of Village Billawat, Ramban.
He was put to sustained questioning and on his disclosure, Police manage to recover the stolen Auto worth Rs. two lakh 32 thousands from Kuthler, Billawat road.
The recovery was made by police parties under the command of Inspector Sandeep Charak, SHO Police Station Ramban under the supervision of Pardeep Singh Sen Dy.SP HQ Ramban and under the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
