National Group Song Competition held

KATHUA, Oct 20: Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua organized National Group Song Competition at Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, here today.
The function was presided over by Jitendra Kumar Singh, District Development Commissioner, Kathua, while Narinder Singh Sambyal, District Education Planning Officer was the chief guest on the occasion.
Santosh Gupta, National Convener, Bharat Vikas Parishad; Arun Sharma, Prantiya president and Vijay Sharma, Prantiya secretary were present on the occasion.
Screening of the participating teams was done by a committee and 5 best teams were selected for the final round.
Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, which was followed by Saraswati Vandana and a welcome song.
Prof Ram Murti Sharma, chief patron BVP Unit Kathua presented welcome address.
The adjudicators of the event included Sunil Shad, Rakesh Sambyal and TR Sumbria.
National Academy High School was adjudged first, while the second and third spot was claimed by Minerva Public Higher Secondary School and Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School respectively.
The winners were felicitated by the chief guest on the occasion.
