Srinagar, Dec 9: Police today produced a charge sheet against a Lashkar-e-Toiba militant in a court in Budgam.
The charge sheet against the militant was produced by police before the Court after obtaining necessary sanction from the competent authority.
The militant, Jahangir Ahmad Naikoo son of Ghulam Mohammad Naikoo, resident of Memander Shopian, is presently lodged in Central Jail Srinagar.
A Police spokesman said that on 20th January this year, upon specific information, Budgam Police arrested a militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba in Chadoora area of the district along with arms and ammunition including 01 Pistol.
He said that the arrested militant was identified as Jahangir Ahmad Naikoo son of Ghulam Mohammad Naikoo, resident of Memander Shopian.
“During the course of the investigation, offences under Sections 20, 23,38 UA(P) Act were established against the arrested militant,” he said.
