JAMMU, Dec 10: The junior wing of KCPS celebrated its Silver Jubilee Annual Function, which was presided over by Rajinder Sharma, Mayor of Jammu, here today.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Chairman Raju Chowdhary, Managing Director Arti Chowdhary and Vice Chairman Arjun Chowdhary.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the welcome address by Principal, Amarendra Kumar Mishra. He shared his commitment towards the quality of education the School has been imparting in shaping the career since 1997.
An invocation dance dedicated to Lord Ganesha was performed with graceful Kathak movements.
Head girl, Tejasvi Raina and Head boy, Abhay Wanchoo apprised the audience of multifarious activities conducted in the School on the round square principles. An abundance of exuberant energy was visibly manifest in all items presented at the function comprising Zumba, Yoga, Karate, Roller Skating, Wushu and Foot-tapping rhythms.
The students of KC Paryavaran Sadan made a presentation of a plethora of activities undertaken for environmental sustainability, namely, compost-making, plantation drives, drip irrigation, waste segregation and making of eco bricks from plastic bottles.
The group song ‘Together we can change the world’ urged everyone to spread the sunshine of hopes and splendid colours of rainbow to change the world where we are all one irrespective of caste, colour, race and creed. The programme ended with a choreographed dance sequence based on 6 pillars of round square.
The chief guest appreciated the School management for serving the people of J&K through quality education and working for environmental sustainability. He also appreciated the School Principal, Headmistress, Sofia Rana and their team of teachers for their concerted effort to take the School to pinnacles of glory and success.
