Tawi Trekkers hold short trek

JAMMU, Dec 11: Tawi Trekkers J&K organised one day shot trek wherein 125 students of Sprawling Buds ICSE School Bantalab participated from Kattal Batal (Nagrota) to Aitham (7kms short of Surinsar) via Bhaid Devta, here today.
Six teachers of the School along with president of the Club Ram Khajuria, international climber Shilpa Charak and senior members Sonam Sidharth and Sunil Chakharia were part of the expedition.
The trekking started after a good breakfast at Kattal Batal. The budding young trekkers who were on their maiden trek enjoyed the soft 3 kms trek from Kattal Batal to Bhaid Devta and then enchanted to witness the spectacular beauty of the further 4kms gentle ascent amidst the charming pines leading to Aitham village.
The trekkers after having lunch at Aitham view point proceeded to Surinsar lake and had a round of the beautiful lake to see the aquatic life.
Meanwhile, the next group of about 100 students is ready to undertake the trek on 13th December, 2022.
