UDHAMPUR, Dec 14: Two days boys and girls District Athletics meet, organised by District Association, concluded at District Police Lines, here today.
SSP Dr Vinod Kumar was the chief guest, while Anwar-Ul-Haq, Additional SP was the guest of honour and Arvin Kumar Koul, Chief Education Officer presided over the function along with Sharat Chander Singh, honorary general secretary J&K Amateur Athletic Association as special guest.
Sunil Sharma, president District Association welcomed all the guests and presented mementoes to all the distinguished guests. The chief guest congratulated all the medal winners and motivated others to work hard for the further competitions.
In U-18 boys (100 m), Anish Sathotra, Sahil Kumar & Anuj Raja stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, in girls (100m), Khushi Kumari-1st, Reha Thakur-2nd and Divya Kotwal-3rd, in U-18 boys (200m), Sahil Kumar-1st, Kanish Singh-2nd and Rohit Singh-3rd, while in girls, Vani-1st, Kiran Sharma-2nd and Sonali Sharma-3rd, in U-18 boys (1500m), Parveen Kumar-1st, Sujal Singh-2nd and Imran Singh-3rd, while in girls, Arti Devi-1st, Khushi Kumari-2nd and Mehvish Akhter-3rd.
In U-18 boys (long jump), Sahil Sharma-1st, Rohit Singh-2nd and Shiva Singh-3rd, while in girls, Rekha Thakur-1st, Gangi-2nd, in U-18 boys (400m), Rohit Singh-1st, Atul Sharma-2nd and Naveed Ahmed-3rd, while in girl (400m), Tabsum-1st, Mahak-2nd and Naseem-3rd, in U-16 boys (800m), Aditya Sharma-1st, Parveen Kumar-2nd and Varun Kumar-3rd, while girls (800m), Shallu Devi-1st, Ayushi Singh-2nd and Ishika Thakur-3rd, in U-16 boys (long jump), Savitar Singh-1st, Tanveer Ahmed-2nd and Aditya Sharma-3rd, while in girls, Nazir-1st, Diksha Devi-2nd and Rudrakshi-3rd.
In U-16 boys (100m), Savitar Singh-1st, Aman Khajuria-2nd and Arun Sharma-3rd, while in girls, Tabsum-1st, Rachna Devi-2nd and Cahat Sharma-3rd, in U-16 boys (400m), Ankit Katoch-1st, Vinayak Basotra-2nd and Tarun Sharma-3rd.
Amit Sharma, general secretary presented the vote of thanks, while the function concluded with the National Anthem.
