SPMR College lifts Boxing Inter-collegiate title

JAMMU, Dec 14: Govt SPMR College of Commerce lifted the Boxing Men Championship title, organised by the Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), here today.
Dr Vinod Bakshi Sports Coordinator CLUJ and Physical Director GGM Science College was the chief guest on the occasion.
Govt SPMR College of Commerce won the trophy by obtaining 21 points, while GGM Science College and Govt MAM College remained runner up by securing 19 points.
In 46-48 kg, Gold was won by Akash Singh, Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, while in 51 – 54kg, Gold and Silver were won by Prajawal Jamwal and Gourav Singh Manhas of Govt. SPMR College and Govt MAM College respectively and in 54-57kg, top three medals were won by Suhail Kabir, Abhi Sharma and Abhishek Choudhary of Govt MAM, Govt SPMR and GGM Science College respectively.
In 57-60kg, first three medals were secured by Satyam Khajuria, Mandeep Singh and Parth Khajuria of GGM Science College, Govt MAM College and Govt SPMR College of Commerce respectively, while in 60-63.5kg, Gold, Silver and Bronze were clinched by Mandeep Singh, Nishit Smail Puri and Ankush Kotwal       of GGM Science College, Govt. MAM College and Govt SMPR College of Commerce, respectively and in 67-71kg, top three medals were won by Keshav Dev Jamwal, Prikshit  Singh and Ayush Virdi of Govt. MAM College, GGM Science College and Govt SPMR College of Commerce, respectively, besides in 75-80kg, Gold medal was won by Karan Singh of GGM Science College and in 86-92kg, the top medal was won by Rohit of Govt SPMR College of Commerce.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College and under the overall supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator CLUJ.
Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director MAM College, Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director GDC Ramban, and Neelam Devi were present on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Goutam Sharma, Anil Kumar, Akash Sharma and Maan Singh.
