JAMMU, Dec 17: Getting the better of their rivals convincingly in the quarterfinals today, 777 Masters and Bharat Cricket Club sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Edition-III at KC Sports Club ground, here.
In the first match, 777 Masters defeated Last Picks XI by 27 runs.
Batting first, 777 Masters scored 142 runs in 20 overs. RK top scored with 39 runs and Vicky contributed valuable 36 runs to the total.
For Last Picks XI, Deeraj Kumar Bhat took 4 wickets and Deeraj Bhat claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Last Picks XI managed to score 115 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process, thus lost the match by 27 runs.
Former First Class Cricketer, Vimarsh Kaw captured 4 wickets by conceding 14 runs in his 4 overs, which fetched him man of the match award.
In another quarterfinal, Bharat Cricket Club drubbed Tridents Cricket Club by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Tridents scored 132/9 in 20 overs. Sujal Raina (33) and Nikhil Bhan (29) were the main contributors. Akshay Sehgal and Nittu took 3 wickets each for Bharat Cricket Club.
In reply, Bharat Cricket Club chased the target in a close contest in 18.5 overs by losing 6 wickets. Mohil Bhat top scored with 36 runs.
For Tridents Club, Surinder Raina bagged 3 wickets, while Praful Dhar took 2 wickets. Nittu was as adjudged man of the match.
