Srinagar, Dec 17: The leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today held a massive protest demonstration here against the comments made by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Zardari Bhutoo about PM Narendra Modi while seeking an apology from the Government of Pakistan.
The protestors burnt the effigy of Bilawal outside the party headquarters at Jawahar Nagar and were seen raising slogans against Pakistan and terrorism, which the protests said, the country sponsors.
“The protest is against the Government of Pakistan and the FM of the country which sponsors terrorism. The protest will continue till the Government of Pakistan apologizes for the comments which their FM has made,” said one of the leaders, Muhammad Yousuf.
He said that the people of India condemn the unwarranted comments made by the Pakistan FM. “The comments have hurt the people of India because Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of this country which has earned a great stature across the world,” he said.
Manzoor Bhat, who heads the media wing of the party in Kashmir, said that the comments made by Bilawal are absurd and that the people of India will not accept such an attitude towards their PM.
Bhat said that PM Modi has made a name for India and he has become a global leader. “The people like Bilawal must know who they are talking about; the people of India will not tolerate such comments at any cost,” he said.
