Srinagar, Dec 17: While stating that the killers of the innocents were never brought to book, the J&K Awami Awaz Party (JKAAP) today held a protest demonstration near Clock Tower against the killings of two Rajouri men.
Holding placards, the participants of the protest were seen raising slogans, urging the administration to act and ensure that the killings of innocent people in J&K are stopped.
Suhail Ahmad-who heads the JKAAP-said that on a daily basis, the innocents get killed in J&K and that there has not been anything done by the Government so far to put an end to such madness.
“We are protesting against the murder of two men in Rajouri; the innocents are being killed every day in J&K. No matter that the investigation will be conducted, the fact is that innocent lives have been lost,” he said.
He said that the investigations happen in J&K for the sake of it and the victims never get justice. “It is just for the name; whosoever has done it, they will not be touched and those, whose lives were lost, will not get justice. Not a single person who has been killed for no fault has got justice,” he said.
The participants of the protest said that there is a need for the Government of India to talk to the people of J&K and put an end to the day-to-day madness.
