JAMMU, Oct 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Yoga Association will organize State Yoga Championship on November 9, 2013 at Handa College Sainik Colony, here.
Before the State Championship, Jammu District Yoga Championship will be held at the same venue on November 7, 2013.
This was decided in a meeting of the J&K Yoga Association held under the chairmanship of Deepak Handa, president J&K Yoga Association, here today.
According to a handout issued here, Rajiv Chuni, Senior vice president, J&K Yoga Association stated that the players would be selected for National Yoga Championship purely on merit after holding the District and State Championships.
Surinder Pathak will be the chief organizer of the event, while Anil Gupta will be the chairman technical committee.
The age categories for the Championship will be 8 to 11, 11 to 14, 14 to 17, 17 to 21 and 21 to 25.
Anshuman Sharma, general secretary of the Association will be the overall incharge of both the events.
