JAMMU, Dec 21: All Jammu Kashmir Chandravanshi Saini Rajput Sabha today celebrated the annual anniversary of Maharaja Shoor Saini at Devsthan Bua Datti, Sarora.
On the occasion, Pritam Saini, national vice president, Gantantrik Samaj Sangathan was the chief guest while Tara Chand Saini, president GSS, J&K; Sukhdev Singh Saini, senior vice president GSS J&K, Mahesh Chand Saini, general secretary GSS J&K, Sarpanch Ashok Saini, Naib Sarpanch Dev Raj Saini and others were also present.
The programme started with traditional Poojan of Maharaja Shoor Saini followed by Hawan and Flag hoisting by Pritam Saini.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Maharaja Shoor Saini was born in the Mahabharata period. He ruled over Sur Sen, a kingdom in northwest India. According to ancient historical records, Mathura was the capital of this kingdom. His kingdom extended from Afghanistan to Uttarkashi and from Rajasthan to Southern India. He strongly believed in righteousness and kindness and Karma Sidhant of Vedic scriptures. Saini appealed the people of Saini community to strengthen the bond of communal harmony and maintain brotherhood at all costs.
