Johal adjudged first in Painting Competition

Jammu, Oct 24: Priya Johal from the The Law School was adjudged first, while Rachita Dutta from the IMFA and Hemant Magotra from the SPMR College of Commerce were adjudged second  and third respectively in On the Spot Painting Competition, conducted by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, under the ongoing “Display Your Talent” here.
Shikha Singh from the Department of Mathematics, Sipaj Jain from the Govt. Women College, Gandhi Nagar and Rimpla Kumari form the Deptt. of Commerce,University of Jammu, and Isha Malhotra from the Deptt. of Psychology, University of Jammu, were awarded the Certificates of Merit.
The participants prepared beautiful paintings  using Water, Poster, Pastel and Acrylic Colours.
Topics for the Painting Competition were “Bazar/Market”, “Village Mela” and”Himalyan Landscape”.
Bhushan Kesar,Dr Sanjana Koul and Vijay Anand, were the adjudicators to assess the performance of the participants.
Later of the day, Installation was conducted wherein Sharddha Sharma and Ayushi Puri from the Govt. College of Engg. and Tech. Jammu bagged first Prize, while Ambika Bhan and Jagpreet Kour from The Law School, University of Jammu and Tsering Gurmat and Kaneesh Pandotra from the IMFA, Jammu bagged second and Tthird prize in this event
Diya Mahajan and Rimpla Kumari from the Dept. of Commerce, Raghav Dev Jamwal and Shayaan Bhat from the Govt. M.AM College and Romika Devi and Deepika Gupta from the Deptt of Library and Inf Sci, University of Jammu were awarded the Certificate of Merit.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Provost Hostel, University of Jammu and Prof Neeru Sharma Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, were  the Chief Guest on this occasion
The competition was conducted under the supervision of  Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Teacher Incharge.
Jagpal Singh Bandral, Brigpal Anand and Mukul Magotra were the adjudicators to assess the performance of the participants.
Among others Prof. N.K. Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Apoorva Jamwal Secretary, Students Cultural Council.Aeeny Mattoo, Joint Secretary, SCC, Rakesh Kumar, Rahul Kumar were present on this occasion.
