JAMMU, Dec 24: The J&K Weightlifting team was selected for the Youth in Junior and Senior Weightlifting Championship, scheduled to be held in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu from December 27 to January 7.
The selected team left for Tamil Nadu today.
Team: Vasu Sharma, Nirbhay Partap Singh, Sayed Ahtisham Andrabi, Mohd Unzar Bhat, Akash Sudan, Misem Choudhary, Palk Manhas, Akam Kour and Salbeena Aslam Shalla.
Before selection, the team was screened by the J&K Sports Council committee, headed by Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer and Central Sports Officer, Nuzhat Gazala and others.
