JAMMU, Dec 28: PG Department of Commerce, Govt SPMR College of Commerce organized a poster making competition to commemorate ‘International Biological Day’ on the theme “Building a shared future for all life”, here today.
The program began with the welcome of Prof Surinder Kumar, Principal Govt. SPMR College of Commerce.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Surinder Kumar enlightened the students about the importance of biodiversity in the present era at local, national and international levels and also shared workable ways to increase biological diversity.
Further, he acquainted the students about various career options available after completion of the PG course. He also appreciated the coordinated efforts of teachers and students for organizing such an event.
Roopali Manhas, student of M.Com bagged 1st prize, while Mansha Rakwal and Ria Mehra shared 2nd prize and Simran Bandral and Roopali Angral shared 3rd position.
Dr Sakshi Sharma, Dr Kanwaljeet Kaur, Dr Sumeet Kour, Dr Divya and Dr Rajneesh Karloopia were present during the event, while the program was coordinated by Dr Sakshi Sharma.
