JAMMU, Oct 27: Dr T R Raina, Administrator Swami Viveka Nanda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla and former Professor and Head Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical College Jammu attended 38th National Conference of Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology ( ISBTI) at Surat in Gujarat. ISBTI Gujarat Chapter had organized the conference in collaboration with Surat Rakatdan Camp and Research Kendra.
It was attended by more than 600 delegates from across the country including experts in the field of Transfusion Medicine , Voluntary Blood Donors, Blood Donor Motivators and Camp organizers.
Dr Raina presented the paper titled “Yoga ——an Innovative Strategy’’ to achieve 100 per cent Voluntary Blood Donation in India.
As General Secretary of ISBTI National Governing Body, Dr Raina conferred ISBTI Life Membership to Indian cricketers Irfan Pathan and Parthiv Patel who were the Guests of Honour on the inauguration of the conference.
While speaking on the occasion both the cricketers, who themselves are Voluntary Blood Donors thanked Dr Raina for the Life Membership and promised to promote the cause of achieving 100 per cent Voluntary Blood Donation in the country.
