Golf Course Development Authority being set up in State: CS

SRINAGAR, Oct 27: Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khanday today visited Royal Spring Golf Course, Cheshmashahi and participated in Chief Secretary Golf Cup.
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Shailendra Kumar and Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah were present on the occasion.
Chief Secretary said that the objective of organising Golf Tournament is to attract more and more tourists to the State.
He said that Government is committed to develop more tourist spots besides Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Leh and Golf Course in Sidhra Jammu.
He said that government is contemplating to set up Golf Course Development Authority in the State so that the State is brought on the tourist map globally.
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and several prominent personalities took part in the tournament.
