3 killed, 14 injured in Valley mishaps

Srinagar, Oct 27: Three persons were killed and 14 others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said two women, Khateji Begum, 70, and Shakeela Begum of Behrampora were killed and eight others injured when a matador bearing registration number JK05/2878 collided with an Oil Tanker JK02K/4057 near Seloo, Sopore. All the injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A Fiat Punto car JK03C/8111 hit a woman Zahida, 28, wife of Khursheed Ahmad of Dessu at Zalangam, resulting in her on spot death.
Five persons were injured when a Tavera bearing registration number JK13A/1800, they were travelling in, skidded off the road near police post Sangam. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara, in Anantnag district.
In another accident, a Tipper bearing registration number JK02A/6605 collided with an Eon car bearing registration number JK01S/2666 at Chattergam, resulting in injuries to two persons. Both the injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment. The spokesman said cases have been registered in these accidents.
