APS Srinagar celebrates Annual Day

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Army Public School, (APS) Srinagar today celebrated its Annual Day at Chinar Auditorium in B B Cantt here today.
The theme of the function was “The Saga of Forgotten Era” which was presented through the “Glimpses of the Literary World”.
Maj Gen, J S Cheema, Chief of Staff 15 corps, Brig K K Pant, Chairman of the school and  IGP Kashmir, A G Mir were present on the occasion. The function commenced with the auspicious lightening of the lamp.
The cultural event was the blend of Dance-Dramas, Skits and Dances with the flavour of patriotism. The children gave scintillating performances on the stage, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
Chief-guest addressed the gathering and commended the school management and the participants for organizing the event of such a high caliber.
Principal, Sandeep Marhatta presented the Annual Report, highlighting the Achievements of the school and the students. Meritorious students in academics and extra co-curricular activities were felicitated.
In science stream Shewangi Koul stood first with 89% , Ubran Altaf  stood second with  87%  and Priya Agarwal stood third with 86%  all of them received the Trophy and cash Award.
Bilal Ahmad Chopan who was studying under OP Sadhbhavana scored 85% in science stream and was honoured with a Trophy and cash Award.
In commerce stream Abhimanyu Anand stood first with  81%  and  Aiyaz Rasool Sheikh  stood second with 79.6%.
In CBSE Result of class X five students who got 10 CGPA namely Tavleen Kaur, Insha, Monisa Shafi, Tabish Khan and Arshjoot Singh were honoured with Trophy and cash Award.  Mr. Hardav Singh Cheema PTI of the school got the cash award and Trophy for his remarkable role in sports activities.
The culmination was marked by the vote of thanks to the guests and the parents for making the show a grand success.
