JAMMU, Jan 9: Doon International School (DIS) Jammu has been conferred ‘5 Star Rating Award’ for the consecutively fourth year in row for providing experiential quality education during the 8th Annual Conference held at Radisson Hotel Gurugram.
The award was granted to the School keeping in consideration the mark it has made in the area of academic excellence through hands-on experience and experiential learning stimulating active participation of the students in the entire teaching-learning process.
During the function, School Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur was also conferred upon with ‘The Change Maker in School Award’ for her futuristic vision and prudent leadership by providing innovative, pragmatic, creative and experiential learning in the School encapsulated with a happy and conducive environment and providing ample opportunities and creative platforms to the teachers with a mission to empower them.
Minister of Transport, Govt of Uttar Pradesh, Daya Shankar and Minister of State for Women Welfare and Child Development, Pratibha Shukla were the chief guests on the occasion.
The mission of the conference was focused on SDG-4 and skill development and many reputed keynote speakers illuminated the learning festival with their words of wisdom including Padam Shri Dr Dinesh Singh, Chancellor KR Mangalam University, Prof Ravinder Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor Gautam Buddha University, Prof Amit Banerjee, Pro Chancellor SOA University and others.
