JAMMU, Oct 31: Delhi XI registered emphatic win over Challenger XI, Jammu and entered in the semifinals of the Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, which is being played at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match Delhi XI defeated Challenger XI by 37 runs.
Batting first, Delhi XI scored 148 runs in allotted 20 overs game for loss of 5 wickets, with Abhishek (49) and Anuj Choudhary (34) being the main scorers. Sahil,Aditya,Kakaand Manjeet took 1 wicket each for his team.
Challenger XI, in reply could not achieve the target and was all out in 109 runs for all out 20 overs only Parveen and Manjeet were the batsmen with 24, 21 runs others fails to face the bowling of Delhi team. Ankit took 3,Abhishek and Anuj took 2 wickets each and Subodh took 1 wicket.Man of the Match goes in favour of Abhishek.
In the second match, Punjab XI defeated Mumbai XI by 50 runs.
The matches were officiated by Sudhir Singh, Saleem-ur-Rehman, Sandeep Manchanda, Shashi and Sanjay Bhatti as umpires, while Yogesh Sharma was the scorer.
