JAMMU, Jan 30: Ayushman Bharat scheme is proving to be a boon for poor people of Jammu and Kashmir as it has provided healthcare facilities to the individual beneficiaries who were earlier not able to afford the costly treatments due to economic constraints but now can avail free health insurance up to Rs five lakh.
This was stated by Priya Sethi, National Executive Member BJP and former Minister after inaugurating an eye check-up camp organized by Sharp Sight in Jammu today.
Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president accompanied the former Minister.
This camp was organized by Pooja Grover in which Neeru Anand, Savita Anand, Parveen Kerni, Anuradha Sharma, Kartar Ji and Amit Mahajan were also present.
The former Minister said that Modi Government after a thorough and painstaking exercise has crafted Bharat Ayushman Scheme to bail out poor and needy population from the out of the pocket medical expenses which earlier used to hit them hard leading to life full of miseries. She said that after about 70 years of independence the country has witnessed such a medical revolution which will prove out to be boon for nearly 80 crore people.
Priya Sethi said that now every person can avail treatment in best hospitals across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Ayushman Bharat scheme which was a dream before for needy people.
She also complemented the officials of Sharp Sight for holding eye-checkup camp and also for assuring coverage of major eye treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Yudhvir Sethi, in his address, said that Ayushman Bharat is a scheme where crores of needy people across India have been benefited. He asserted that Ayushman Bharat Scheme is a revolutionary decision taken by the Union Government in the larger interest of poor people of the country.
Sethi said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has launched this scheme which is not only providing insurance cover to the people but also giving them a sense of security. All previous Governments, he added never cared for these people and worked for self. The welfare of people, he said is utmost priority of BJP led Government and urged people to seek benefits of all schemes launched during past five years.
