JAMMU, Nov 2: A grenade was thrown on the Army camp of 156 Territorial Army (TA) battalion at Draba road in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district last night but there were no casualties or damage.
Reports said unidentified militants threw a grenade at 156 TA battalion camp at Draba road near Surankote town in Poonch district last night. The grenade exploded inside the camp but without causing any casualties
Army personnel took position and launched searches in the area. However, no unwanted person was spotted in the area.
Police officials also reached the spot and conducted searches. Police, however, said lever of the grenade was not recovered from the spot, which indicated that the explosive device could also be a crude one.
Police said investigations in the case were in progress. Some suspects were being questioned to reach to the accused but no arrests have been made so far.
