JAMMU, Feb 2: Two days 10th J&K UT Rope Skipping Championship, organised by Rope Skipping Association of Jammu & Kashmir under the slogan of ‘My Youth, My Pride’, commenced at Indoor Sports Complex, Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
Around 400 students from 13 districts of J&K are participating in the championship with great enthusiasm, which provides a perfect platform to the participants to showcase their performance and hone their skills, said an organiser of the event.
The main aim of the tournament was to provide all round fitness and extraordinary skills in the students Fr Shaiju Chacko – Chairman Diocese of Jammu- Srinagar Education Society J&K was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sr. Maria Swati, Principal, Carmel Convent School Jammu was guest of honour and Ritika Slathia, Manager Indoor Sports Complex -Bhagwati Nagar and Tarsem Sharma, founder RSAJK were among the special guests.
Dr Navneet Gupta, general secretary and Sunil Kumar Sawhney, joint secretary- RSAJK were also present during the event.
The chief guest motivated the participant in his speech and appreciated the organisers for organising this wonderful championship.
