JAMMU, Nov 4: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinal clashes, Deshmesh Club, Jammu and Young Star Simbal Camp have qualified for the finals of the ongoing 1st Baba Fateh Singh Ji Memorial Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K, under the supervision of MS Reen, its resident secretary at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Deshmesh Club blanked Ajit Club, Gole Gujral by three goals to nil (3-0). For Deshmesh Club, Ravneet netted the first goal in 25th minute, Ravneet scored the second goal in 30th minute, while the third goal was scored by Tanveer Singh in 45th minute of the match.
In another semifinal match, Young Star Simbal Camp defeated Bagh Bain Club by three goals to two (3-2) in a close contest. For Young Star, Jaspreet Singh scored 2 goals-one in 7th and second in 63rd minutes, while Satwant Singh another goal in 38th minute. Jagjeet Singh netted both the goals for Young Star in 25th and 67th minutes of the match.
Gurmeet Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent among others present on the occasion were Romal Singh, Jaswant Singh, Rajinder Singh and Inderpal Singh.
The matches were officiated by SP Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Amarjeet Singh, JS Reen and GS Bakshi, while the matches are played under the supervision of MS Reen, resident secretary, Hockey J&K.
