JAMMU, Feb 3: The 10th UT level Rope Skipping Championship, organized by Rope Skipping Association of Jammu and Kashmir, concluded at Indoor Complex Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
A total of 500 students from 13 different districts participated in the championship.
The closing ceremony was chaired by Yasha Mudgal -Secretary, Commissioner/ Secretary Cooperative Department J&K UT and patron of Rope Skipping Association of J&K as chief guests of the event, while Randhir Singh- SSP was the guest of honor and Anissa Nabi, State Tax Officer, Dr Kunal Anand -Principal DPS Udhampur and Neetu Bali, founder and CEO Sunder Gems and Jewels Sunder Enterprises were among the special guest on the valedictory function.
The three best skippers of J&K namely Nitin Kumar, Zayin Dobriyal and Shivang Kumar were rewarded with a cash prize of 11,000 rupees each and a token of appreciation by the chief guest during the event.
The whole championship was technically supervised by Danish Sharma, Technical Director, Rope Skipping Association of J&K along with his senior officials including Harsh Vardhan Raina, Rudrakshit Gupta, Suhail Bhat (Royal Sports Academy), Muzaffar Ahmad (Bandipora), Shahnawaz Bashir Lone, Appu Jamwal, Sania Abrol, Anirudh Verma, Shivang Kumar, Nitish, Tajamul Ahmad Khan (TSA Academy), Rohini Chib, Manish Gill, Zamid Reyaz, Abid Hassan, Palak Sharma, Gaisu Kohli, Joginder, Rishika Sharma, Khushdeep Kaur and Tarun Gupta.
Sunil Kumar Sawhney, president Rotary Club Jammu, Tarsem Sharma -founder RSAJK, Arshad Aziz – joint secretary RSAJK and Shabir Ahmad were also present during the event.
The chief guest congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the Association for organizing the event, while the special guest Anissa Nabi motivated the participants by giving a mesmerizing speech during the valedictory function.
