RAJOURI, Feb 6: Jammu Striker defeated Alamdhar Warriors by 33 runs in the LG Group, organized by Sports Society Rajouri at District Police Line, here today.
Jammu Striker won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Jammu Striker scored 179 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Vinayak Khajuria scored 53 runs, while Abhinandan Sharma and Sny Mahi made 25 & 19 runs respectively and Gagandeep Singh Jamwal and Sheikh Yawar Malik contributed 19 and 10 runs respectively to the total. From the bowling side, Furqan Bhat got 4 wickets, while Amaan Malik took 3 wickets and Faheem Manzoor and Akeel Yousuf shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Alamdhar Warriors succeeded to score 146 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, wherein Xaid made 44 runs, while Mir Tufail scored 35 runs and Junii Baba contributed 23 runs. From the bowling side, Sny Mahi and Abhinandan Sharma grabbed 3 wickets each and Sham Singh Langeh, Vinayak Khajuria and Anshu Sharma clinched one wicket each.
Sny Mahi was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by SSP Mohd Aslam in presence of players and spectators.
